Tunes at Thalia is a MONTHLY open mic on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Need to sing something more than that 16 or 32 bar audition cut? This is your chance! Bring that new piece you've been dying to try in front of an audience, or an old favourite. Most importantly, sing what makes you happy! Our audience is one of the most appreciative and supportive in town, and this is an incredibly safe space to try new things. We tend to skew musical theatre and classical but all genres are welcome. Our regular roster of accompanists are BRILLIANT, and can quite literally play anything - don't feel the need to shy away from Sondheim!
There is NO cover, and NO minimum, however food and drink are available, and Sundays offer $7 mimosas and bloody Mary's as well as $25 pitchers of Sangria.
