Sign-ups are at 7 to 8:15 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Showcase your songs (original and covers), your standup comedy, your spoken word. We have two microphones, guitar cables, and a full keyboard ready for you!
Dave's on Broadway has been home to one of he longest running Open Mic night's in LA. Andy Kimbel, a touring and recording artist originally from Philadelphia, has played at major festivals, clubs, colleges, television and radio shows, and a variety of folk and Blues venues from Hawaii to New York and parts of Europe. In comjunction with his performing career, Andy produced and hosted two different long running Open-Mic events in Philadelphia, gaining him "Best of Philly" honors both times. These open mics are geared for the semi-professional, emerging artist and beginners who want to come out and work on their craft in a supportive and encouraging environment. You will be able to, and it will be encouraged to sign up online in advance. Stay tuned for more info on that. In the mean time, Please be there for sign up at about 8:45. Please note, the order of sign up may not reflect the order of performances. In addition to your own material, You surly can also perform your interpretations of other artists songs. Over time, performers will be invited back to perform at "Song Splash", a singer songwriter showcase concert at Dave's on Broadway on select Tuesday evenings. Grab your guitar and come on out. We hope to see you every other Tuesday beginning March 15. (Dave's holds its traditional open Mic night alternative Tuesdays as well. March 8, 22 etc… ) No drums or bands. Duos are okay.
