Born Justin Lenard Jones on February 10, 1996, Jstar was raised by his parents Ulysee and Dena Jones in Donalsonville, Georgia, prior to relocating to Atlanta in 2010. He was born with a passion for music and started writing hip-hop lyrics and producing music at age ten. His bedroom was his personal studio where he wrote songs, composed music, and shared the results with his friends and family. Fascinated by his skills and ability to rap, produce, and perform, friends invented the name Jstar; everyone was convinced that he was destined to be a star. Yung J$Tar is an 9th grader currently attending Godby High School In Tallahassee,Fl, and resides with his Mother. Although he intends to graduate from high , he is equally determined to pursue his dream of becoming a rap artist and producer.
