New to music, I wrote my first song at 46. Well it wasn't gonna play itself, so I picked up my guitar after 20 years, practiced hard, and played my first open mic at the club where I've worked for many years.
I was hooked on music right away but at the time I didn't know that I would go on to write more than 20 in the next two years.
I've used this site to tour open mikes in my area and beyond. I now host the open mic where I work and got my start. Thanks Openmikes.org!
