Her and the Grey was formed in 2013 by Joel, Chris and Cheryl. After a few practices bassist Jon and drummer Sylvie were added to complete the lineup. The band focuses on a guttural, straight forward rock and roll sound that combines elements of classic rock and 90s alternative. The members of the band all met when working together at a software company, which has absolutely no influence on their music. They are based in Brooklyn, NY, where they meet regularly to rehearse, record, and write songs.
