Do your thing... in front of everybody at Burbank's premiere open mic!
Buchanan Arms is an all-ages family restaurant in the British pub tradition with a full bar featuring fine ale, stout, and cider.
Here's how it works: All present: one food/drink minimum purchase from restaurant.
We fill up quickly, so email your sign-up early. The performer list is published via email in the afternoon on the day of the show. Walk-ins are added to the tail of the list, space permitting.
Performances start at 7:30 sharp. If you are not present when your name is called, you move to the end of the night. Please email the host ASAP to remove your name if you cannot attend so that others can have an opportunity to play.
Performance slots are 10 minutes max. We're primarily a music crowd, with a limited number of spoken word and comedy performances. Pre-recorded music tracks of original material only are allowed: no karaoke-type performances. You must bring your own source (CD player or iPod).
Content restriction: This is a family restaurant. NO PROFANITY UNTIL AFTER 9PM.
We provide: three really good microphones on stands, a direct-input for your guitar or keyboard, a keyboard stand, and an upright piano. You provide instruments and your talent.
Audio CDs of your performance are available for $10 - just see the host, and your disc will be ready at the next open mic.
With your permission, we might put a recording and a photo of your performance online.
So practice up those tunes, grab your friends, and drop by for some great open mic fun!
