The Redondo Poets weekly poetry reading has been running continuously at Coffee Cartel since 1998 with co-hosts Jim Doane and Larry Colker. The format is open mic (from a sign-up list) and featured poet(s). There is no cover charge. See "Redondo Poets" on Facebook. In addition to the quality of our features--both established writers and new voices--we are known for the range of our readers in age and style, and for being a safe, accepting venue for new readers. Singer-songwriters are welcome (and have been featured); but we limit the number of music slots.
