Sorry I can't satify everyone - after 13 years of having this jam I must be doing something right. We've seen many open mics come and go and we're still here, but I will try to change things up - but you'll still have to bring your own instrument - cause I don't share my wife or my guitar… Please come in again, your more than welcome and we'll try to accomidate you.

Okay but after waiting most of the night til Rick's whole family played and most of the patrons from dinner left, I saw the other interested players (not many) and it was great to see them. While Rick is excellent, the word on the street is that it is hard to get on stage. Mix it up brother and more will come to play. Variety is the spice of a good open mic.

Bring your own guitar. I was on the road and thought I could borrow one. Rick said "sorry, everyone there had Taylors and Martins and was particular about their instruments". I'm not sure what they thought I would do with it. Back home everyone would have wanted you to try their guitar. Also, there is no sign in list. Rick keeps it in his head so make sure he knows you are there.

The Old Packing House is a good venue, decorations, stage, PA, food and $2 draft beers. House band is very good. I'm just bummed that I didn't get a chance to play or get a warmer welcome.
