I've been writing more songs lately after many years of writer's block. They tend to have a folk or blues flavor to them. I mainly play acoustic guitars (6 & 12 string), harmonicas and sing, but have been known to pick up an autoharp, mandolin, bass, mountain dulcimer or electric guitar. My home base was the Wired & Unplugged Coffeehouse open mic in Snohomish, Washington, which closed in August 2008. We have moved the open mic to the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater on 4th & Avenue D in Snohomish. My music is influenced by the music of my generation: the Sixties folk scene, Dylan, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Peter, Paul & Mary, as well as blues, funk, jazz, Celtic, gospel, and of course, rock and roll. I'm also working in a duo called Blue and Green, doing jazz standards and Celtic music.
I'm now working in a duo called Blue and Green, doing jazz standards and Celtic music with my buddy, Harry Miller, who plays flute, penny whistle, trombone and sax.
