Tony Hilliard is a singer and songwriter from Cape Ann, Massachusetts. Formerly known as the Singing Sergeant of the Rockport Police Department, he currently works as a certified emergency dispatcher and EMT. He frequently perform with the group Three Sheets to the Wind, which represents the Schooner Adventure, the last of the dory trawlers. The group of about a dozen members sings sea chanteys and songs of the sea as well as some Celtic and folk music. Several members are accomplished guitarists, and others play mandolin, concertina, flute, tin whistle, and pipes.
Janet Young sings backup for Tony and is also a member of the swing trio Sparkle Motion. A novelist and memoirist, she is the author of The Opposite of Music (Simon and Schuster, 2007).
