Singer-songwriter Ryan Link starred as Roger in the Broadway production of RENT a couple of years ago, where director Michael Greif told him he "sings like a dream," but he's back in the music business now. The former frontman of Boston power-poppers Miss Fortune spent several years playing the drums in his hometown of Seattle before venturing out from behind the kit on the East Coast. Now halfway through recording his debut solo album with up-and-coming NYC studio Tainted Blue Productions, he makes occasional solo appearances with his acoustic guitar. His rock tenor leans towards Chris Cornell and Jeff Buckley, while his songcraft gives equal nods to Foo Fighters and Pete Yorn. Preview tracks on www.myspace.com/ryanlinkmusic.
