US and Canadian Open Mikes - by musicians, for musicians

User profile:

British singer activist working in Nicaragua on health, education and ecology projects. Greatest hits include: Ode to Starbucks, That Expletives deleted Cellphone, and I Thought I Heard Sweet Victor, Singing ...

Ode came from working with underpaid coffee pickers in Nicaragua and trying to get a simple cup of coffee in StarbUSA; the cellphone song laughs at our addiction and challenges us over their planet-poisoning batteries, plastics (and perhaps brain tumors); Victor song relates to Chile's great singer-songwriter, Victor Jara, tortured and murdered during the Pinochet/ Kissinger/Nixon coup. Here on tour to raise awareness and cash for our work.
