I am an experienced lead guitarist and have played in the band Southbound for 18 years, toured the eastern US, and recorded in Nashville. I have been playing in the Maryland area for the last couple of years and have just returned to the Franklin County, Vermont area.
I have played with numerous acts including opening up for nationally recognized stars such as Ricky Scaggs, Desert Rose Band, Johnny Paycheck, Confederate Railroad, Neil McCoy, and many more. I also backed up national stars such as Stella Parton, and Dick Curliss. My material has ranged from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Merle Haggard, Alabama, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt and older classics such as Keith Whitley and Randy Travis.
I have 35 years of experience on stage as a lead guitarist and some experience on stage as a fiddle player. I can sing backup as well as lead. I began my career on stage in my parents' band as a ten year old.
I hosted a successful open mic in Woodstock MD for a couple of years and am trying to start one up here in Vermont with the same format. I would be very interested in meeting up with others and playing a few sessions to see how compatible we are.
