Shiregreen is the stage name of the German musician Klaus Adamaschek. Shiregreen's music is a wonderful blend of folk and country styles, both intense and relaxing. Some of the Shiregreen songs intentionally echo the great songwriters of the 70s, like Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson or Leonhard Cohen, but his warm bass voice and authentic song material make his music very distinctive. .. His fan club in Germany is huge and his fame and popularity have been growing very rapidly in the USA too. Shiregreen's song Freedom fighter won the 2008 worldwide Songwriter Contest called "Comprosers".
