Adam Rand, an Australian by birth, has had his written work published for more than 40 years. He was a columnist for The New York Post and received 15,000 letters. He wrote Answers for Managers which became a best-seller and was translated into German, Spanish and Hungarian. Since that time he has written 14 self-help audio books including Quick Advice on Improving Our Relationships, Loving Your Self and How to Act Before, During and After The Argument. Adam has also written 156 prose-poems which will be contained in a 7 CD set with titles of My Feelings Exactly, It’s Not Fair, Is This It?, Eleven-Thirty on Maple Drive, Whispering Between Prayers, No Words and Standing on the Corner. Mr. Rand hosted and produced his own cultural radio program (KBEA) for five years in Kansas City, Missouri. Adam has written 144 short stories with titles such as Too Much For Mom, Pennies for a Rainy Day, Thirty Days to Live and The Human Chameleon. He reads his stories with a dramatic flair. He offers a free CD (“Excerpts”) for program chairpersons which contains portions of 4 stories including, “The Funny Man”, “One Hundred Reasons”, “The Desperate Man” and “Friendly Fire” in order to demonstrate his delivery style. Some past and future venues include KBEA FM, PNC Arts Center, the Maplewood Arts Center, Fort McGuire/Fort Dix, Pianos, East Orange Veterans Hospital, Bronx Veterans Hospital, Princeton Café Improv, Haworth Coffee House, Bierman House, Lester Housing, Luna Stage, The Lion’s Den, Adirondack Adventure, Jewish Community Housing Corporation, Congregations Beth Ahm and Beth El and the Barron Arts Center. He has 26 spoken word CD’s of his written work to date and was appointed to the Cultural Arts Advisory Committee of South Orange and was formerly a board member of the New Jersey Pops Symphony Orchestra.
