Three AcousticCrossSection open mics in the Valley! See the other posts if you want. Don't have to play to enjoy the music, an audience is cool, too. Host has done over 80 of these in the last year, and every one has been unique in some way.
Available for use are acoustic guitars and a keyboard, but you can bring any instrument that you play, not limited to guitar, as long as it is not giant or loud (no drum sets but congas, other percussion, etc are welcome).
Wednesdays at Wooden Nickel - 217 E. College Ave. Appleton - 8 pm to Midnight
This one is full repertoire, covers welcome. Nice place, half price appetizers 10 pm to 1 am and $9.50 premium pitchers after 7. Begins July 13 weekly.
We have had a violinist, sax player, banjos, ukuleles, bassists, bongos, other percussionists, etc. at these, though it is mostly guitar. Players are encouraged to come in just to check it out even if you are not ready to play - or to decide if you want to play, as often is the case. Playing is not mandatory, by any means, and again, an audience is cool, too. Signup sheet provided so we all go in order.
