this is no longer hosted by John Dillenbeck. But I called his number and he told me a little about it. However, this is not really an open mike, per se. There is no p.a.: not needed. It is more of a song circle / swap. It's in the basement of the old school on High St, and most of the building seems to be galleries and workshops for art now. The guys are really really nice, welcoming, complimentary. It was clear they had all known each other for a while. Most played covers, and there was that full spectrum of musical style, approach, and skill around the circle. A pleasant exchange for a Wednesday evening. We welcome all types of music with people usually playing 3 songs each. We're low pressure and strive to never throw rotten fruit at anyone.
