I love this open mike! It has a wonderful vibe, with supportive people who really listen to each performer. But be warned that there's a $10 minimum/cover for everyone who comes, whether they perform or not, and the owners are very aggressive about enforcing it.

Waltz open mic is becoming the thing to do on Wednesdays. Last weeks' performers represented various neighborhoods in Queens and Long Island, Forest Hill, Jackson Heights, Corona, Woodside, Flushing, Jamaica, and way out there on the Island. People come and stay for the whole night, pretty neat!
