There wasn't enough toothpicks on the bar for which I could stick in my eyes as the parade of droning Dead songs played… if you choose to go, keep expectations level, for Victors is more of an open jam - which includes drummers - as opposed to an an open mic - not an ideal place for showcasing original material… that said, Scott's a great host…

Just to keep things clear here… the intention of having drummers & the bass player is to have that available for players that want some backup. Nobody should feel that they have to be joined by other players if that isn't what they want. We try to keep an atmosphere of respect and consideration for what each person that signs up wants. Many people are delighted to have backup or other addtl instrumentation, but some want to play solo. If you come out and wish to play solo, you're desires will be honored. Each week I'm blown away by the diversity of what people do here… we've had cello, violin, flute, mandolin, pedal steel, variety of percussion, harmonica, as well as the standard guitar, bass, etc… Many performers are showcasing their original music, and the styles are as diverse as the instrumentation.
