Victoria Station is one of the most beautiful coffeeshops I've ever been to and the owner, Dave, is friendly and charismatic. Good food, good coffee. We played to a tiny but absolutely packed house. This isn't really appropriate for anything larger than a duo, MAYBE a compact trio, and they've only got one mic. You're basically playing through a keyboard amplifier so you don't even have more inputs for more mics, but with the intimacy of the space, this actually works out alright. Very loose structure, with the performer generally calling up whoever's after them. There's no official "host" per se (which I think is detrimental) so the denizens have to rely on one another to be kind with times and to help with sound. It seems to work alright, but could easily be taken advantage of. Call as early as Monday to sign up.
