this Thursday evening'll be my first time. when should I arrive? can i do any cover songs or does it need to be original stuff? how long does each person or group get?
Larry Cooney (3/2008)-
Looks like no one's posted in a while, but I'll give it a shot anyway…
What's the likelihood of getting to sing, either a capella or with the band? How about the chances of the band knowing broadway showtunes like Cabaret? Or the audience diggin' it?
Stephanie (2/2008)- Come early and the likelihood of getting to sing, either a capella or with an ad hoc band, is excellent. Showtunes? Knock yourself out… Friends of Dorothy won't object.
Etienne (3/2008)
how old do you have to be in oder to come in
sergey (6/2007)- We were shakin' the leaves and rockin' the house again. We had so many musicians they teamed up for more than the usual 3 songs to speed up transitions. Frazier and Mike did great blues with Dee. Peter and Ian teamed up for a great set. We rigged a band for John since we couldn't have great musicians like Jim, Kimberly and Randy on the side lines (each one can stop the house). I'm sure he had a moment. Jim's solo accoustical interpretation of Hendrix dropped my jaw. All of you made my knees week. Rich and Don had another great set. They really work well together. Joey and Stan rounded out the night. My good friends Eric and Jeff (Jeffe) showed up at the end. Eric is not to be missed on piano and vocals with Jeff on percussion. We went late but still called it with energy left. Thanks to all.
John Becker (2/2007)- Happy New Year! Poulsbo has been rockin' this January. Thanks to Steve (the main-man/bartender)and our talented musicians: Kimberly on bass, Don, Ian, Joey, The Howe Bros., Christina, Sandy on percussion, Julie (this girl can sing), Stan, Randy (you saxy thing), David on mandolin, Steve on piano, Mike from Pegasus and the rest of the regulars, irregulars and audience. Fun is the word!
