This open mic is run like a well oiled machine, with a DJ, host, door man, feature performer, etc. It's held up stairs away from those who are there to drink, yell at the TV, or whatever. Polyrythmic runs the show and they do a great job keeping the chit-chat down during performances. Seeing how it is Polyrythmic running things, it's mostly poets there performing, but musicians are welcome. Most musicians don't like it cause you only get one song, but I like it cause it keeps things rolling and makes it a more fun and interesting night. Speaking of the night, it'll be a long one for some of you. Upstair doors don't open till 10pm and they usually get things going around 11ish.

To sum it up… I'll be a late night in a cool bar, with an attentive audience made up of mostly poets who know how to have fun. Check it out!
