This open mike is still going strong! Everyone was very friendly and supportive, the hosts were wonderful, and some really talented artists came to play. Some people were distracted by the TV, including myself, but it was game 2 of the World Series, it was inevitable. (Yankees won.)

The phone number for the bar doesn't work anymore. When I asked the hosts about this, they told me that Tierney's Tavern just doesn't bother with having a phone number anymore, too many people were calling for patrons of the bar. Unfortunately this means you can't check up on the open mike by calling ahead, but trust me, the bar is still there and packed to the brim, it is not in danger of closing anytime soon, despite the lack of a phone.

The website for the hosts is down, but I told them about this and I understand they'll swing by and update it to their new site. Trust me, they are still doing a great job of hosting this open mike.

My one complaint is that the sound system left something to be desired, but it was adequate for our needs and everyone had a good time with the music despite any shortcomings in sound.
