do any acts come there and do any hip-hop?
D.O.T (8/2008)
so far nobody has told me anything about the venue… aside from the alcohol and paying for shit when you perform… hows the acoustics? the crowd? the artists who play? is it organized or just sign up and go? how many songs do you do? that sort of thing… anyone?… anyone??
Brittney Yore (7/2008)- This place is cool and welcoming. Friendly vibe. Very chill environment. They welcome anything. If you're a fucking cheapskate and want to sit for two hours without buying a single drink, you're a wanker. they don't make demands anyway. the hosts are super cool and so is bar.
Meow (10/2007)- Why such strong words - "Hate" ? We are discussing Music and being able to play & listen to music. Stop wasting valuable Energy and creating feelings of negativity in people. I play open mics and I get my own "paying gigs" - except that the gigs which are supposedly "paying" actually prove most of the time to be to the advantage of the venue - who practically ask you to pay to play.
Renee Asteria - Agent Double E (7/2007)- You playing the venue is about making the venue money. It is never about the artist it is always about the venue making money. It is just business. Just like in order to play music even the radio the venue HAS to pay ASCAP thier fee. I lost a steady gig becuase the café was not selling enough food to pay the rent and ASCAP since in the summer the regulars flock to the beach.
payin my dues (7/2007)- I drink like a fish wherever I play… and I am a Bona- Fide BadAss… lighten up you cheap Bastards… if you can't afford $10 in drinks stay in your living room… I hate Hippies and I hate "starving artists"… Joe Holland
