- I totally agree w/the previous commenter. The head guy is sour and unpleasant. He bustles around like he's "all that", and it's sad, because the rest of the folks seem ok. This is not the guy to be running things if you want people to come back.

- The guy who runs the equiptment is extremely rude and angry. My son (11 years old) has performed there several times to rave reviews but that did not stop him from yelling at us for essentially no reason and upsetting my son. Needless to say he will not be playing there again. Their loss. If you are looking for a place to play on Tuesday's try the Soundry in Vienna

- Excellent venue for Acoustic Folk solo performers and duets. I got there at 7 PM to sign-up, and the schedule was full. Two later acts each gave up one song each (of their three song sets) so that I could play two songs. I was very kindly received by the quietist listening audience I have ever had. I wish more "open mike" venues enforced a "no talking" rule when performers are playing. I found this to be a very positive experience. I would recommend this Tuesday night venue to all acoustic singer-songwriters desiring a receptive audience, but be on your game, if you do.

- Almost too attentive for my taste and the big timer clock thing was just a little too much for me. Definitely worth checking out for the experience tho and if you can handle being really quiet during everyone's performances, I'd recommend it.

I played Tortilla Factory in fall of 2006. It's the real deal! There were serious songwriters playing - I shared a stage with Roger Henderson, who wrote the Eva Cassidy classic "Penny to my Name." Who could ask for more? Be prepared for an attentive, interested audience. Bring your best material and just take it all in.
Highly recommended.
