I can't emphasize enough how nice the people who run this are. Although my friend and I did not win the lottery for the 4 remaining walk-in slots, because my friend hadn't played at this open mike before, they shuffled the schedule around and managed to squeeze us in. If this is your first time coming to this open mike, don't despair, they might find a way to slip you in regardless of the situation.

The lottery to play at this open mike apparently now happens at 7:45pm (not 6:45pm) according to their website and phone message.

If you want to play this open mike, note that many of the slots go to people who sign up ahead of time, and only 4 slots are reserved for walk-ins. I e-mailed the morning of the open mike and all of the reserve-ahead-of-time slots were already filled, so you should try to make your reservation well ahead of time.
