Arthur J Baker (7/2008)- I had a good time here. Normally I don't like playing bars, and I avoid them at all costs. However, this place is not intimidating. They support you. The sound system is great too. They work in the round. They have 4 songwriters go up at a time and each plays a song twice in a round. I reccomend it to people who may be playing in town and need to connect with the locals.
Meade Skelton (8/2007)- One of the premier singer-songwriter showcase venues. If you are among the "elite", the "up and coming", or "promising" singer-songwriters of the country rock, country folk, americana, or pure country genre of music you have appeared, or will appear, onstage at the Douglas Corner Café. A wonderful place to showcase your music, and an even better place to be exposed to the outstanding songwriting talents of others.
Barry Morrison (4/2007)- Nice atmosphere. OpenMic was done with 4 people in the round this time doing 2 songs each. So, 2 times around. Call in early or you'll be waiting around for 4 hours like I did. The sound was good. Overall a great place. Eat before you get there. They don't have much of a menu.
Walter Conklin (6/2005)- Call (615)292-2530 on Tuesday between 2-6pm to sign-up in advance.
gigs (11/2004)
