- ? I see only old questions here so I'm wondering if this is still on going? If so do you need to arrive early say 7 pm to get on a play list? Does one play a single song or two? Can I bring my electric keyboard or do you have a piano by chance? Thanks

- ? Do you need to sign up for this open mike night, or can I simply show up?

- Hi Mr. Parsons--In case you ever check back in here… TCAN is a beautiful venue, nice people, lots of talented performers/songwriters and great hosts. Although most people played originals, I and a few others played covers in a range of genres and no one seemed to object. I would encourage your daughter to try her wings there with whatever she likes to sing. Good luck! --JES

- Generally ORIGINAL music, so I'd go with no. Sorry to your daughter. Great venue for those singing ORIGINAL country music.

- ? Is this a good venue for my 13 year old daughter (vocals/guitar) to cut her teeth performing? She is still working on covers of Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Natasha Bedenfield, etc.

- This open mike now has 3 hosts who rotate (Trish and Phil are the hosts for two weeks each month), and is also sometimes a bluegrass open mike. See the calendar on the web site for what's when. There's a feature around 9 PM. There's a random draw at 8 PM. Admission is free for members, $5 for non-members.

- $5 cover for non-members, and it takes a little while to warm up to you, but it IS a well known place for the local big names (we ran across Rose Palanzani - who I KNOW I can't spell). You can't book it unless you're a member. Good talent. Beautiful sound system.

- This open mike has a feature around 9 PM. There's a random draw at 8 PM. If there's a lot of people, it's a one-song night, but there's more than one pass through the list for folks who want to stay late. Admission is $3.
