abie (4/2008): Jim Morgan was chosen as the winner of the 2005 New Year's Open Mic contest that concluded last night February 12th. Jim gained entrance into the tournament by winning one of the Wednesday night contests held over the previous six weeks. I am glad the judges had to pick the winner because in my opinion all the performers were outstanding and deserved to win. Jim won over $700 prize money.
Walt Sammons (2/2005): There is a $25.00 prize for the winner voted by the crowd applause each wednes. Also there is a tip jar thru the evening… and a drawing for all participants… whoever draws out their number… wins the tip jar contents. Very friendly crowd who are appreciative of the talents exhibited. Great food and drinks. Celtic is expanded now and has a billiard table as well.
