Open mikes currently happening every Monday night, with a few exceptions. Jim Safer is running the 3rd Monday one; the others are run by Randy or Jesse. Yes, it's a tough audience to crack some nights, but an outstanding performance will get people's attention.

Dean Koch (12/2006): PROs: Little or no line. You can play many songs (4 or 5 if you want). Show up late, they'll probably have a spot. CONs: Audience is there for drinking, not music. PA system can't really be heard over bar noises. No one really listens to you play.
Jon (5/2005): Open mic for musicians. Also - quarterly open mic for poets.
