Hi,

I'll be in Austin for a couple of days from Los Angeles. I play musical satire- I'm hoping to bring my friend Val (who’s moving back to Austin) to play her blues piano stuff. Hope Texans like Californios.

From everything I’ve heard about Austin – especially music wise- I’m afraid I may never go back!

Please let me know if there is anything I need to do to get on stage – like what time (really) to show up?!

Its on thursday nights now at 9 so come on out there are not to many performers so you probably have a good chance of being one of the few.

The open mic is on THURSDAYS, as of this posting on 1/20/10.

Don't think they're doing these on Sunday now - looks like they're on Wednesday - I tried to call today (Sunday) and no answer. I may check them on Wednesday if I find anything out I'll keep you posted.
