I went to this open mic once and found it indifferent. I may have been there on a bad night. I felt like the music was disturbing the patrons. There were dozens of televisions. They were mounted on evry wall. No one paid attention to the performers. Some of the performers were really good. Even The host wandered around to the far reaches of the bar engaged in conversation and promoting his own band to the point that it was distracting. I hope that this was an isolated incident, but on the bases of my visit, I would have to advise against this venue if you want to be heard.
K.S. (8/2005): This great sports bar features wall-to-wall TVs, big screens, dart boards and pool tables. Their food is a cut above what you`d expect from a sports bar. Bring your guitar and your appetite to this place! Open Mic Atlanta provides musicians with an opportunity to "play-out". There are many great musicians that don`t get an opportunity to perform in front of a live audience because their busy schedules won`t allow them to join a band or book a regular gig. If you are a musician, amateur or pro and looking for a friendly place to perform, you've found it.
