Tattoo Gallery weekly Open Stage is also a progressive Talent Competition, hosted by Y.

Artists check in at 8:03pm to sign up for a 2-song performance slot. We do ask, however, that performers not line up earlier than 6:39pm. Slots are offered on a first-come basis. Performances begin at 8:09pm and usually end between 11:00 and midnight. Each performance is judged by a panel. There is usually also one featured performer each evening (not eligible to win) doing an extended set.

The chosen stand-out performer gets booked for a full-length feature weekend set at the Gallery.

Perfomance slots for artists using backing tracks are limited to 3 per week.

Each month, the four weekly winners from the previous month will be invited back on a Saturday evening to participate in The Gentle Musical Cage Fight Event.

At the end of the year, all monthly winners compete in another Gentle Musical Cage Fight, of which the winner get untold riches and possibly a tattoo.
