- I have been going to Pete Henderson's Blues jam since the late 90's and every positive comment posted below is right on the money. With guitar skills that are second to none, Pete is a consumate pro and runs the most organized, fun and no BS jam in the land. One night it was very busy and I didn't get to play so the next week he had me play with the house band opening set. That is a fine gesture from such a great musician.

- Definitely the best jam around. Other than being an incredible musician, Pete manages the jam so precisely. He makes the best band setup on stage while his playlist shines… Although I haven't been there since 2003, first time he saw me this April on one of the jam nights at john Stone's, he recognised me immediately. One of the nicest guy and best blues musician that I've ever known. And the jam is highly recommended.

- One of the best Jam's in the country. Much of the credit goes to Pete Henderson. Pete makes sure that each group of jammers compliment each other and Pete usually provides something (guitar, harp, vocals) to the set. Great house rhythm section and mostly competent to very good players. Age of jammers is all over the place. Teens to old pros. It's good to see younger players playing blues with respect. There is not a lot of "blues-rock" here but lots of Chicago, Texas, West Coast, Swing, you name it. Pete has been a fixture in the Boston blues scene since the seventies and can match guitar skills with many who have gone on to flame and glory. Check it out.

I hadn't been back to Pete's jam for months; just a lot going on Sunday evenings, I guess.
There's now a piano/keyboard provided by a house band member, so you ivory tinklers definitely want to stop by.
As always, Pete knows how to put a band of jammers together, so expect the talent level to be on par. And, if he thinks the particular group of jammers needs a little juice, Pete will join the group.
The Sunday after Christmas was PACKED, so get there early and let Pete know you're in the house. He'll definitely get you up, and you'll have a very attentive and dance-able crowd to which you can play.
