I've played here 4 times now and I must say - I think the quality of talent at this open mic is consistently the best I have ever seen - and I am not a young man and I have traveled extensively. A lot of people who play here have albums or play other places during the week and use this as a tune up. I'll probably go here sometime just to listen. Maybe LA or Nashville have something better, but the level of musicianship is tremendous most nights.

Wow. That's all I've got to say. Wow. Sort of a very low-key host, you don't even know he's there, but the bar of the performers here is amazingly high. I've been really impressed with everyone I've heard and am CURSING the stupidity of this town that the room's not PACKED. Fans have been listening on the radio stream, which is awesome. 15 minute / 3 song with a featured performer at around 8.30 or so. Good food, coffee and beer / wine menu.

This is a live broadcast (webcast) on pirateradionetwork.com we are also recording the first hour of the open mic. The only requirement is that musicians purchase something from the establishment.

Had a great time at S&P. Great people, singer songwriter format… and (bonus) web-cast Radio. My first experience in this web format. Showed up out of the blue, and was able to sit in for a few songs. Didn't have a guitar… no problem, loaned me one. Easy to get to, about 1/2 mile from the Dallas Convention Center. Live music about every night of the week. This will be my place of choice every time I'm in Dallas.
