Our band has played in LA, NY and all over Boston. Skip's open mic feature is still our most memorable evening.
The room is filled with musicians young and old, they all hang on every note, and if they know the verse, you got yourself a remarkable choir.
Skip is a hard working, energetic and gracious host. For the measly $3.00 he requests for providing the sound system (and making his guitars available to the forgetful or broken-stringers), you couldn't ask for a more wonderful evening.
Fred Bement (5/2008)- I can't believe people are so uptight about the 3 or 4 dollar charge. Just got back from Cancun, two hot fudge sundaes $17.00. A night of great music with nice people, priceless.

- I just did this one for the first time last week and had a great time. Skip is a great host and I felt very comfortable in the room. The players were also very nice as well as everyone I met. I will definately be back.

- The 5 Star show for tonight March 16 has been canceled due to the impending storm. Two Cat Folk and Special Guest Ed Thomas will be rescheduled.

- Open mics should be free, after all the entertainment is. What a sad state of affairs that a "pricey over-the top -priced food and drink establishment" has to beg for $3.00. What next. I have started boycotting all open mics, they are all way to "political" it's supposed to be an enjoyable evening out, people get enough of that "who you know" sh(*&^" in their everyday lives. Get with it…
