i wish people would stop calling open jams open mics. its really discouraging when u get there and the house musicians only let u do covers. or they end up only wanting to play one type of music. its not fair to the musicians coming to showcase their material.
xylon forrester (11/2011): This great Cajun food restaurant opens up the mic for musicians at 8:00pm. You might want to get there early or make a reservation if you want to assure a seat. The dinner crowd overlaps w/ the show, so sometimes there is a big crowd. Great house band to lead. If you bring a chart, it helps.
