I am a classical guitarist getting ready for a few performances, could I come and play through a piece or two? It's not your typical open mic music, but most crowds usually enjoy it and I would appreciate any opportunity to come and run through it. Thanks

Sharon and Nick, We're sorry it took so long to respond!!!! We are definitely open to people using accompaniment tracks, so long as they're on a CD or iPod/MP3 player that can be plugged into our PA system. We have setup for people to bring their own guitars, whether they be electric, electric acoustic, or straight acoustic, and we also have a keyboard for public use, as well as vocal accommodations. Sign-up starts at 7:30, as we're still growing. If you show up a little late, don't worry about it. We are conscious to make time for every artist who comes in to join us. Hope to see you soon!!

I'm thinking of coming in this Thursday. What sort of crowd do you typically have on Thursday nights. What setup do you have for acoustic players??

Though the listing states we are open to comedians at the open mic, we actually aren't (I just can't figure out how to get rid of it on the listing). By it's nature comedy pokes fun at and potentially offends which is something that Shalom Café would prefer to avoid.
