All I can say is Wow!

We cruised up to this Open Mike last night--after wanting to check it out for a while----and glad we finally made it. This Open Mike has a regular crew of very solid--many playing "out"--singer/songwriters who listen, share and support each other. Lots of really good original songs in the air. Patrick--host and sound guy-- comes up with primo sound seemingly effortlessly and is a great, chill but friendly organizer. Really friendly bar staff that's invested in the Open Mike. Sign-up 9pm and start 10pm but Patrick is flexible and pushes the start a little back (earlier) if need be.

No real "stage" to speak of --- but a cabaret size space just inside the door is just right for this room. Long and narrowish- but well laid our cocktail/tapas type setting with high tables in front and booths in back. Nice neighborhood, but somewhat classy feel. Happy hour--10-12… Totally worth the trip to West Seattle if you're a songwriter that wants to hear other quality talent and share your stuff. 3 songs… See ya there!

(really well kept secret… if you're gigging in the region this is worth doing on an empty night… and well worth bringing out of town friends in to hear your songs in a listening atmosphere)
