The open mic night at Shades is great! Been there a few times. Like the atmosphere and they encouage all to come and enjoy. Start time is about 7:30 pm and cover is $3.00

I drove 37 miles to go this club for comic open mic last night Jan 9th. I paid $5 for getin the door. there were only 5 people and the host and the drummer. The Host talked abou the drummers for more than 20 minutes but he hadnot asking us for open mic. Just commerical his drummer class… etc. I couldnot handle the sounds of these drummers in that long. Like torture me. I left at 8;30pm, NOT GOOD PLACE TO DO OPEN MIC COMICS. THEY STARTED AT 8 NOT 7PM LIKE SCHEDULE.

i'm going to be a pioneer!!!! i'm a comedian and i'm going to check this place out, i'll report back to see if its a good place for open mic'r's!

Great open mic for poets. Some may like it but I thought the drumming sucked.
