My brother will be in town tomorrow night and was hoping to check out (and maybe play a few songs as) an open mic in the area. Can we just show up and get a slot, or do we have to sign up in advance? Thanks, Kyle Knapp

Donovan (2/2011): Neil's comment (granted, it's from 3 years ago) is a little scary. Condoms? At an open mic night? Can someone enlighten me… I'm thinking of playing of dropping by to play… unlessmy life (or other things) will be in danger… :)
G.M. (Bud) Thompson (9/2009): plenty of booze and sometimes hooch at this weekly event. Ask for the Saturday Sound special when you go. It's worth it, believe me. Bring a condom.
