The Somerset Jazz Consortium is a group of jazz performers who are developing their talents by performing live, exchanging ideas with other musicians, learning and mentoring each other.

We have purposely scheduled the Jazz Groove Jam Sessions during earlier hours when families with children can come in, listen and discover America’s Very Own Classical Music, Jazz.

We are endorsed by local jazz educators and take pride in encouraging and mentoring jazz talent and participation in people of all ages.

Many of our younger 'veterans' have gone on to become jazz majors in college.

In the future we hope to publicize these and other events in order to develop a new fan base and informed listening audience for jazz music in Central NJ.
