I'll be in town near y'all for 3 weeks, and I'm looking for a family friendly open mic. I don't go anywhere without my Best Beloved and our Little One.
Ideas?

- Im not sure I've ever seen an email or FB post requesting a time slot. But Pls feel free to come down any Sun. and let me know that you're "Phobophobe" and I will get you on stage as soon as humanly possible. It's easy to hide behind this kind of forum, but to actually get up and play in front of people or have a face to face conversation… thats a challege, that's art… I'm there every Sunday, so come on down. But I will never go to Guitar Center : ) Metro Sound… keep it local!!! As for the talent that walks through the doors… I have the utmost respect to anyone that gets on stage… from the beginners to the National Acts we have every week. It sounds like you play out quite a bit so please email me a schedule at angrymen@comcast.net and I can come check u out that way too (or send me some links i can hear your music). Be well, anger never accomplishes much… but I'm willing to listen to productive feedback. There is an article in the City Pages coming up about the best songwriter showcases in the Cities… and who, what, where and why they started. I think you'll find it interesting how ours came about. 5 yrs and running1

Your writings are still nearly entirely ambiguous . . .
both hey dey and nick . . . obviously now you are
in fact rapidly aging non-worldly disgruntled men.
Why then did you not respond to several e-mails via facebook requesting to have us perform at Plums !?
instead you keep us waiting for four hours for nothing.
Seriously you have yet to feature anyone close to being
musically advanced or gifted. . .
Have you ever worked professionally ?! - true sound techs operate their systems while facing the audience - try it. - or we mean : practice. I'll tell you what . . . how about a bet : we'll meet yall at Schmitt music or guitar center blindfolded - and you can have your eyes wiide open -
we'll each do a 60 minute performance contest - none of this 10 minute stuff ! - and we shall see just who the crowd gathers and huddles around.
