Stopped by at around midnight, and introduced myself to Morgan (new organizer) and he and I jumped up to play in 4 minutes. The crowd was young and artsy, they all know each other well, and they are remarkably welcoming. This is like holding a jam in a funky living room - great, great vibe.
Fred Bement (7/2009): I am going to be visiting from Edmonton,Alberta,Canada and would like to play some open mics. I am a Country Recording Artist and I would need a guitar and I would like to sign up online. I'll be in Chcago from 15th to 23 of Nov./2008. Would this be possible ? Gojangle (4/2008): How does open mic night work? Do I just show up to the venue or do I have to sign up prior? I have some new songs I'd like to play, but wasn't sure if this venue accepts people's songs or if it's only covers?
Dan (7/2007): Great open mic venue. A brick wall beer pub, with a separate room for music, soft couches to sit on, a good sound system and host. No hype, laid back, real musicians playing interesting music.
