Picasso has become a hot spot on Thursdays at 10pm. There's a sign up sheet that goes out around 9:30. The crowds have been huge and rowdy in an awesome kind of way. This is not your quiet coffee shop listening crowd. It's a bar with lots of happy people. It's a great place to play covers. People will totally sing along if they know it. If it's good, you're golden.

I enjoy this open mic. It is hit or miss in terms of how many people come to play, but on a good night, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the crowd has fun with the performers. I have always gotten a chance to play, and the others players are always interesting, if not talented. The bar itself kinda looks like a new york jazz club, but It is a very inviting ambiance with no snobbish pretense.
