The first time I showed up, the host and bartender were very friendly. Found the place to be very supportive. This has continued every time I have played there. It is nice that you get to usually play 3 songs. There is a built in bar crowd most nights, so free audience is nice. They recently moved things around so that the bar can fully see the stage. It makes a great double, what with Arctica Bar having their open mic at 10pm 2-3 blocks away.

This place was disappointing. Did it about a year ago, and the sound system seemed a lot better then-you could hear what you were doing on stage. Now there's a tinny monitor which gives you no idea how you're projecting. Host seemed burned out this time, generally disgruntled, and not at all supportive. Obviously catered to regulars. Very cliquey environment which didn't seem to welcome newcomers or infrequent returnees. Just demonstrates how an apathetic environment detracts from one's performance.
