Signups start at 7:30. Everyone plays 3 to 4 songs depending on the length of the list. We generally stop the music at 11:30pm. However, everyone who signs up will play.
This is a very laid back open mic where all genres of music and all ages of performers are welcome. However, minors and underage drinkers must be accompanied by a drinking age adult. No swearing during performances.
We do not have a backline, but the PA can accommodate up to 7 inputs. We provide 2 mics and two 1/4" plugs for instruments. The performance space is tight, so please bring what you absolutely need to play your set. Acoustic instruments are preferred. We do not provide amps for electric instruments, but you are welcome to bring your own. This is a "musical" open mic. While we love our friends who are comedians and poets, this is simply not the venue for that material. Additionally, this is not a karaoke event. While singers are welcome, we don't provide pre-recorded tracks or teleprompters with lyrics. You'll have to know your songs and find a musician to play with if you can't play the song yourself.
Once here, you will find an appreciative audience and an awesome vibe. Entrance to the venue is free, however, it is expected that performers purchase at least one beverage from the bar or from one of the waitstaff, if sitting at a table. Bringing in your own beverages from outside is not cool. Please understand that the establishment provides this space to musicians 'free of charge', with the expectation that performers will, in some small way, show their appreciation through their patronage. Some venues enforce this policy. We do not because it takes away from the 'open' vibe we've worked hard to establish and we recognize that one's inability to pay for a drink should not inhibit one's desire to play.
- Is it possible to sing if you bring your own music on your phone, without a musician?
