- ok open mic. at the present it is a great open mic for comedians but not for musicians.
chucho el roto (8/2008)- Observation: I was here about a month ago and I was number 11 on the list. I got here about 1045pm (I know that is late!) so if you want an earlier spot you need to get here earlier! However,I am a musician and I was only one of 3 musicians among probably 20 comedians (so for those who do music you will definitely feel a little out of place here. they would have about 6 to 8 commedians in a row before you would have an opportunity to hear some music(granted that it is not the host's or the espablishments fault because it just depends on where your name is on the list. again another however, the host recognized this and made an anouncement that starting with the next open mic he would altenate comedy and music regardless of where the names are on the list to better serve the audience for variety's sake. I went there 2 or 3 weeks later and they did not have the same host and sat there for an hour and a half just listening to comedy and was dying to heare some music ( whether it was me or some one else playing) and did not happen so I left. The point is that if you are looking for commedy this is a great open mic but if you are looking for music, go some where else! unless they stick to the comedy and music alternation as once suggested.
