Does the new moon allow covers during their open mic? I tried to find info on their website and all it said was WE ARE AN ORIGINAL VENUE ONLY. I would assume thats just for booking bands, but they don't make it very clear or friendly.
Luke (4/2011): i also would like to try some open mic comedy. are there any ground rules with swearing and subject matter?

derek strasser (1/2011): Dropped by to say hello, and was invited to play with a couple of local musicians. It's a young crowd, most of whom are getting their sea legs in front of an audience. Everybody's very supportive.
Fred Bement (9/2009): I went last week and had a GREAT time. :-D I will definitely be back! (I'm supposed to go tonight 1/15, but I am having vehicle trouble, so I dunno… may have to wait a week or two.)
