- Pretty fun and cool open mike. Small neighborhood bar venue with little cabaret stage and kinda loose in the sign-up etc time. Got there at 8ish and sign-up was soon after 9pm. I got a feeling that summer might start a little later. 3 Songs and Mingus is a nice chill host who's a good player himself. The audience can be a little chatty but it's a bar soooo… that's the way it goes. Friendly bar-tender--regular patrons. And fairly inexpensive beer---good pull of Guinness for $5 (other "Irish bars" can hit you for $6.50 and above) Worth checking out!

- Well attended open mike that makes money for the establishment, which is of course, a good thing. It's a big party, and the applause from the crowd is hearty, but the constant very high crowd noice demonstrates a lack of appreciation for the performers. Not ideal if you are actually interested in hearing local musicians and showing your appreciation for their efforts by actually listening to them.
